As young men in the 1930s, Charlie Heinbockel, Rolf Jensen and Harry Fogle considered themselves lucky to be employed as construction workers on the Golden Gate Bridge project. The experience stayed with them for the rest of their lives, and more than seventy years later, they proudly recalled the parts they played in the creation of this american icon.

These men are now gone, but their memories and stories live on in this short film, which includes interviews with Harry, Charlie, and Rolf as well as clips from original bridge construction footage.
